Doug wins Marathon!!!

After all my husband's hard work and training he ran the Mountain Maryland Marathon yesterday and won it all!! 1st place baby!!! He is not one to brag, but I will do it for him, because I am so proud of him. He is awesome!!! It was a very hard course in the Mountains of Western Maryland, it had a 10.5 mile incline, so it was very steep. For those of you who don't know, a marathon is 26.2 miles. He finished in 2 hours 44 minutes and 4 seconds. That is an average of 6 minutes and 15 seconds per mile, although some miles he ran as fast as 5 minutes and 40 seconds. Unbelievable, I don't think I could run 1 mile alone that fast, and he kept that pace up for 26 miles!!! Oh yeah, did I mention he won a $1,000 first place prize!
